Senior Project Manager – Cloud & Data Center Transformation 

Work Arrangement: Onsite
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12–24 month contract (40 hrs/week; 1,984 total hours)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only
Engagement Type: W-2 only

Overview

This role leads a high-visibility transformation program spanning cloud modernization and data center initiatives, impacting multiple business and technology organizations. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex, multi-workstream programs that require strong technical domain expertise, executive communication, and disciplined project execution.

This position operates at a senior level and requires hands-on ownership of planning, governance, delivery, and stakeholder alignment across engineering, operations, security, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-level programs affecting three or more business units and technical domains.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans across cloud and data center workstreams.
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, and change control with precision and transparency.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks across the full program lifecycle.

Technical & Domain Execution

  • Apply expertise in cloud architecture fundamentals (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), data center operations, and migration strategies.
  • Drive alignment between cloud engineering, infrastructure operations, security, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and risk management requirements.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Deliver executive-level reporting, status updates, and steering committee communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and vendor teams to resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and prioritize work.
  • Implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies for emerging risks and issues.

Delivery Excellence

  • Lead multi-workstream planning and dependency management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and KPI tracking.
  • Improve team performance through leadership, mentoring, and motivation.

Tools & Platforms

  • MS Project, Jira, cloud dashboards, enterprise reporting systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 4+ years of proven project management experience
    OR 6+ years total experience with at least 4 years in project management
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-organizational programs
  • Strong technical & domain knowledge in cloud, data center, security, and compliance
  • Exceptional stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills
