Duration: 6 Months | 1,040 Total Hours

Overview

The Client is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect for Institutional Client Services (ICS) who can articulate and design the end-to-end processes for institutional investment management, with emphasis on derivatives, fixed income, and structured finance. The role requires hands-on familiarity with the applications and technologies that enable those products. Experience with Bloomberg (terminal/enterprise data, pricing, analytics, market/execution connectivity) and Loan IQ (institutional/syndicated lending lifecycle, servicing, accounting) is strongly preferred, with Loan IQ experience considered the ideal unicorn. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to visualize current/target state, define roadmaps, and ensure resilient, compliant architectures that scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model front-to-back institutional flows (idea pre-trade analytics trade capture risk/limits confirmations collateral/margin settlements accounting/reporting) across derivatives, fixed income, and structured finance.
  • Design integrations and data flows among OMS/EMS/Risk, Bloomberg (pricing/market data, reference data), downstream data platforms, finance/reporting, and Loan IQ for institutional/agency lending and servicing.
  • Establish architecture standards/patterns for real-time APIs, event streaming, and batch/ETL across ICS platforms; define data quality, lineage, and reconciliation controls.
  • Align solutions to regulatory and risk frameworks (e.g., SOX, FFIEC, GLBA; plus capital-markets controls such as trade surveillance, model governance, and auditability).
  • Provide architecture governance through delivery; create reference architectures, decision records, and executive visuals; collaborate with vendor partners and internal engineering teams.
  • Lead impact/gap analyses; contribute to build-vs-buy, cost/benefit, and roadmap prioritization.

Expected Skills & Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of institutional investment management with hands-on exposure to derivatives, fixed income, structured finance products and their operating controls.
  • Practical system knowledge of Bloomberg (data/pricing/analytics/connectivity) and Loan IQ (booking/servicing/accounting for syndicated/agency lending); ability to map capabilities to business processes.
  • Enterprise architecture methods (e.g., TOGAF), modern architectures (cloud, microservices, APIs, data platforms), and integration across heterogeneous vendor stacks.
  • Strong risk/compliance mindset; data governance, reference data, and reporting/GL touchpoints.
  • Exceptional communication and visualization skills for senior technical and business audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in CS/IT/Engineering or 11+ years combined higher education/work experience.
  • 7+ years in architecture with 3+ years in cloud-oriented solution design (Azure hybrid preferred).
  • Proven success leading complex financial-services initiatives within capital-markets/ICS domains.
  • Preferred: advanced degree; certifications in cloud/EA frameworks; experience spanning engineering + solution design.

Expected Deliverables

  • Current/target-state blueprints and capability maps for ICS (derivatives, fixed income, structured finance).
  • Integration designs and data contracts for Bloomberg feeds/services and Loan IQ process touchpoints (booking, servicing, accruals/fees, accounting/GL, reconciliations).
  • Architecture principles/standards; control & reconciliation frameworks; technology assessments and executive presentations.
  • Reference architectures/patterns that accelerate compliant, scalable delivery across ICS.
